Long use review of the Huawei Honor 8

I started this review with an open mind and i was completely blown away by the new Honor 8. Starting of with the fashion week, i had alot of time as well as opportunities to test this phone is every possible way.

Initially i was quite impressed with the 16 nanometer Kirin 950 chip that reduces power consumption and enhances overall performance. This was supremely handy for my work at fashion week. I could post pictures, videos, boomerangs and tweets with speed and didn’t have to worry about the battery draining out. The Honor 8 which runs Android™ 6.0 and Huawei’s Emotion UI 4.1. was extremely swift and made my whole work week easy to handle. Honor 8

I kept using the phone as a primary device until my engagement where it also became my primary camera! I didn’t want to take a chance with the pictures of the engagement so i asked a friend to use the phone as much as she can and thank God i did! All the pictures from my camera were either blurred or over exposed because apart from me, no one knew how to work a DSLR in family. Needless to say, all the pictures came out beautiful, crisp and vivid! Thanks to the Honor

While going through lots of pictures clicked by my family i realized the vividness of the Honor 8 was no match to any of them. All the other phones had issues with the flash being too harsh or the lighting being too yellow/green but none of that was the problem with the Honor 8. I would have to thank the  12MP dual-lens back camera for that, it comprises of a RGB and a monochrome lens which made the color temperature, tone and the details as vivid as possible. Honor 8′s 16 nanometer Kirin 950 chip that reduces power consumption saved the day again as my phone didn’t run out of battery throughout the engagement ceremony and now i have pictures that i can cherish forever! So Honor 8 saved the day!

Throughout the engagement as well as right now as i write this post, i have been using the Honor 8 as a vlogging camera and i really appreciate its front camera for it. The 8MP front camera helped so much in my impromptu vlog sessions while getting my makeup done as well as those much needed selfies with family! Its great low light capabilities helped me record my out and about vlogs too!

Apart from all the features i mentioned before, the Honor 8’s dual-function advanced fingerprint reader has made life extremely easy with just one tap. Life is complicated when you have freshly manicured nails with long nail extensions, typing is already a pain and opening each password protected app is a sad chore that i wanted to skip and i did with the advanced fingerprint reader! I don’t even need to put passwords on any application, just tap on the fingerprint reader and its open plus i don’t even have to type any text, just swipe and write along! You do have to change the settings to be able to do so but it makes my life so easy!

The Honor 8 has made everything so easy that my final word on the review is a very positive yes! If you love take beautiful pictures, want a super fast system which has the ease of a finger sensor and a great user experience then definitely go for the Huawei Honor 8.
